If you’ve ever wanted to book an Uber or Lyft but stopped at “download the app,” there’s another option.

Kinly lets seniors request a ride by making an ordinary phone call—even from a landline. You tell its AI helper where you want to go, and it handles the booking.

Kinly’s service is free. You pay the fare charged by Uber or Lyft.

Here’s what happens when you call.

Say you need to pick up a prescription. Once you’re set up, you call Kinly and say something like, “I need a ride to the pharmacy on Main Street.”

Kinly works through the pickup and destination with you, then arranges an Uber or Lyft. It tells you which car is coming and when to expect it. You make the request by talking, without tapping through a booking app or following a map on a screen.

There’s help with the pickup, too. Kinly stays on the phone until you’re in the car and handles the conversation if the driver calls.

You can request a ride from a basic cellphone or a landline. When planning an outing, make sure you’ll also have access to a phone wherever you’ll need to request your ride home.

The trip doesn’t have to be a big occasion.

A doctor’s appointment is an obvious reason to need a ride. But so is lunch with an old friend, a haircut, or an afternoon visiting your sister.

When you aren’t driving, even a simple outing can mean working around someone else’s schedule. Kinly gives you another option when family and friends aren’t available. You decide where you’d like to go, and it helps arrange the ride.

What does it cost?

Kinly’s service is free. You pay the fare charged by Uber or Lyft—the ride itself isn’t free.

For now, Kinly arranges rides when you’re ready to go, rather than reserving them in advance. Rides depend on Uber or Lyft availability in your area.

Get set up before your next outing.

You can get started yourself or have a family member help with the initial setup. Once that’s done, you make your ride requests by phone.

If you’ve been putting off trying a ride service because of the app, Kinly gives you another way to make the request. Start with the phone you already use.
